Devin Martin
Facilitator
Devin has a background in Computing Science, earning her undergraduate degree from Thompson Rivers University. During her time as a student, she took the opportunity to study abroad in Tokyo, Japan. After returning to Canada, her year long adventure inspired her to help others experience their own adventures by joining the TRU Study Abroad Ambassadors. 3 years as an ambassador translated into a wealth of peer mentoring opportunities, including the facilitation of several educational events on campus.
Devin found her niche in mentoring and expanded on this through a work-study semester as a CanCODE instructor for the TRU Faculty of Science. This position involved creating and delivering hands-on S.T.E.M. workshops to low income and marginalized children within the Thompson Okanagan School district.
Before joining the Transitions team, Devin worked with the Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Southern Interior managing their social media accounts and developing a unique virtual mentoring platform.
In her spare time, Devin enjoys playing video games with friends, watching horror movies, and building websites.
